Three Month from now, Kenyans will be presented by yet another chance to review the tenure of office for those they elected 5 years ago.

Whereas on the national front we are faced with a two horse duel of Raila and Ruto, here in Vihiga county, the difference between our present under Adagala and our future under Winnie Majani is as clear as day and night.

In 2013, Vihigans overwhelmingly voted for Hon Adagala as our woman rep. We were all pregnant with expectations that the former career post bank employee would turn around our fate. Little did we know that we were only voting for a clueless woman hellbent on perpertuating nepotism and politics of exclusivity.

Visiting Adagala’s office, one maybe mistaken for thinking that a family meeting is underway yet it is a county office staff.

First she hired her own husband Adagala as a driver, son as a photographer, sister inlaw as a secretary and another family member as a security/bouncer all paid for by the public coffers-Nepotism redefined.

Usawa Mashinani is the way to go inder Hon Winnie Majani

To undo all the ills by the outgoing woman rep who unashamedly is looking for a second term, it is upto all progressive Vihigans party inclinations and sub tribes politics not withstanding to come out enmasse and vote Winnie Majani as the next county MP.

Last year she was awarded the top honours at the ABC bank where she worked. She was also one of the contestants in the leadership reality TV show Ms. President in 2018

But why Winnie Majani?

Winnie Majani is a youthful Vihiga county politician who has put Vihigans before self.

A career banker and a graduate of Miss president reality TV show, Majani comes with a wealth of experience from the corporate world which is needed here in Vihiga to move the county forward.

For you to rise in the banking industry you must have proper decision making skills and problem solving skills as well.

Winnie Majani posesses all these besides she is very articulative unlike the aloof and detached Adagala who for 5 years has not sponsored any bill in the August house

“The level of enequality in our county is so very high. Young boys and girls cannot complete school due to economical challenges. I was born and raised up in this county, it pains me to see mothers struggle to access maternal care, I shade a tear when I see young girls defiled, I weep when I see my sisters not able to expand their small scale businesses. I stop and pose a question, how prudent have we used the NGAAF funds? How comes 10 years down the line no tangible growth has been realized? Then I look yonder and see our teary mothers all looking forth for a redeemer. This is why I left my well paying job in an international bank to come and work for my people.Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers of Vihiga, hold my hand and let me work for you. Lets change Vihiga county for our own good. Usawa Mashinani is all we need“.

Winnie Majani has personally traversed all the 5 sub counties of Vihiga, all the 25 wards and over 200 villages interracting with Vihigans. Her humility has seen her share a plate of saltless githeri with mothers in villages who have urged her to keep on keeping on.

“As a single woman struggling to raise my 5 kids after their father perished in a road accident in Naivasha, I have listened to Winnie Majani and I believe at last we have someone who shall be speaking for us. I will definately vote Winnie just because of her Usawa Mashinani mantra” Gladys from Mukingi village in Sabatia said.

The same has been echoed by Mrs Florence from Guluma village in Busali ward.

“Winnie Majani carries the hopes of both the youth and women. She is a role model to our young girls who can now believe that education and discipline can take you far. They used to see her on TV during Miss president reality TV show and now they all mill around her whenever she visits. Iam not an ODM member but I will be voting Winnie Majani as my woman rep. We all want Usawa Mashinani not like what we see a person enrichibg her family alone. “

Going by all the nice things being said of Madam Winnie Majani, we can confidently conclude that the long a waited redeemer for the people of Vihiga is finally here.

A vote for Winnie Majani is a vote for Usawa Mashinani.
