Here is why ODM/Azimio will win all the Vihiga county seats

.

The long awaited ANC governorship in Mudavadi’s home turf of Vihiga remains a pipe dream.

Vihiga county the home of ANC’s boss and Kenya Kwanza co principle remains volatile politically. Mudavadi’s indeciseveness has not made matters even better.

Mudavadi is such a cunning leader who is hellbent in ensuring that all the county seat go to Sabatia his home area.

Mudavadi has fielded woman rep Hon Adagala on ANC, Sabatia MP Hon Agoi as governor while Swadi will be the senator although on UDA.(see the comouflage?)

Swadi is Mudavadi’s choice for Vihiga senator

Mudavadi annointed Swadi as his choice for Vihiga senator but due to the backlash his choice faced, he prevailed upon the naive Kennedy Butiko to swap parties with Swadi. Butiko joined ANC from UDA while Swadi crossed over.

Zero sum game

The swapping was a zero sum game since the electorates were smart enough to understand that the targeted person was none other than the Azimio candidate Hon Osotsi who is poised to become the next senator.

Hon Osotsi Vihiga senator frontrunner.

By so doing, Mudavadi’s thinking was that Butiko who unsuccessfully vied for Vihiga governorship in 2013 and lost to Akaranga would eat into Osotsi’s support base of Bunyore. This has since hit a brick wall and Osotsi’s popularity and likeability is spreading like bush fire in the hamattan.

Despite all the machinations by Mudavadi and his cronies, Hon Osotsi will roam home early as the next Vihiga senator. This is due to his brand of politics where pragmatism and definate stand on issues of public interest are his hallmark.

Agoi vs Otichilo for Vihiga governorship.

Ever since devolution was introduced, Mudavadi’s inability to produce a governor in his home turf of Vihiga has been eating away his ego.

In 2013 he unsuccefully fronted Amayi from Bunyore who lost to Akaranga a maragoli of PPK.

In 2017 he changed tac and fronted Yusuf Chanzu who miserably lost to Otichillo a nyore who ran on ODM.

In 2022 ANC is fronting Hon Agoi the current MP for Sabatia who again is facing stiff competition from Akaranga, Otichilo and senator Khaniri.

Marende’s entry into the gubernatorial race a scheme to scuttle Otichilo’s chances.

With Otichilo enjoying a voting block of 70, 000 Nyores, Mudavadi handlers so it wise to prop up Marende to play the same role Butiko is playing ie dividing Nyore votes to deny Osotsi the seat.
However this blurred machination is well known and so far Otichilo and Osotsi are enjoying the home support from their ethnic Nyores.

Vihiga governor Wilbur Otichilo.

With Khaniri locking out Agoi from Hamisi and Otichilo having both Emuhaya and Luanda solidly behind him, the Vihiga gubernatorial contest is between Otichilo and Khaniri.

Both Agoi and Akaranga will share the maragoli vote thus denying Mudavadi the prestige of yet again having an ANC governor.

Vihiga women rep seat up for grabs but Winnie Majani stands a better chance

The one term curse for Vihiga woman rep position could show its ugly face yet again.
The first holder of the office Hon Kedogo opted for Vihiga Mp seat in 2017 and lost to Kagesi of ANC. This gave Hon Adagala a smooth sail as she won it easily.

In 2022, the youthful and firebrand Winnie Majani is set win it on ODM party.

Winnie or simply Madam president as she is fondly called enjoys massive support in Hamisi and Vihiga sub-counties.

Considering that both Hon Osotsi and Gov Otichilo are in ODM, it therefore goes without saying that the Nyore votes will most likely go to Winnie Majani.👍

Jackline Mwenesi of UDA and Bagada Jackline aka Mugorogoro of UDP will be a thorn in the flesh forAdagala.

Both women enjoy a near fanatical following among the maragolis of Sabatia and Vihiga. Incidentally Adagala draws her support base from there.

All factors remaining constant, Vihiga county will have a new woman rep MP who will come from Azimio/ODM.

There is no stopping the Azimio brigade in Vihiga under the leadership of Gov Otichilo and Hon Osotsi.

To the Kenya Kwanza brigade and Mudavadi in particular, the wait is still on.
