He is working hard to please, hard to convince and actually hard to be embraced. He has lost ground, lost the empathy and lost acceptance that was donate by peace loving people of Kakamega.
If election is held today, Cleophas Malala will not finish among the top 5 candidates. He is saving face by launching schemes that have no political substance to the people of Kakamega.
He has not used his own money in anything he does. Remember he had Cleophas Malala cup that culminated into a low key ceremony at Mumias complex where the ODM leader attended but all Kakamega MPs gave it a wide berth.
Cleophas Malala is a lone ranger, a man who has not learnt to keep relationships with people who have helped him when he is in need or broke. He was once an enemy of Wycliffe Oparanya when he was a first time Mcas.
He was actually, kicked out of the Assembly and he couldn’t see eye to eye with the governor for the better party of 2013 to 2017. It was during that time that him together with his father , were kicked out of ODM Kakamega branch.
He was at some point party less and by 2015 when ANC was coming up, he and his father jumped to it for survival against the wishes of ODM members in Kakamega. He begged for money left right and centre to finance his campaign in Kakamega.
You will recall, Kakamega county is a vast county that if you don’t have money, you can’t be able to become the Senator. It’s at this time that the ANC leader funded Cleophas Malala’s campaign and when he became the Senator of Kakamega, he jumped ship and kicked the hand that fed him.
He went back to ODM and he has never given a hoot about ANC. He enjoys double speak, double standards and double dealing. He was once accused of taking money from the deputy president to construct his home in Milimani.
A claim he vehemently denied but actual sources said that, that house was constructed by the Deputy president who Cleophas Malala, later kicked him out of his relationships even after bankrolling him to build a home.
At the moment, he is receiving money from the Secretary General of Cotu and that’s why you can see him disregard, disparage and disrespect the ANC boss. The moment Atwoli will stop to give him money, he will definitely turn against him and he will do to him what he is doing to ANC boss, what he did to Deputy president and what he did to Wycliffe Oparanya.
He is am a man that cannot be trusted in any dealings. Today he has launched a movement that he believes will help him ascend to Kakamega Governorship in 2022. But the reality is that Cleophas Malala can’t, won’t and can’t be the Governor of Kakamega under the sun.
It’s claimed that his family just migrated into Kakamega the other day and sources say, his original ancestry is in Siaya county and it is for this reasons that it will impossible for him to ascend to the top most position of leadership in Kakamega county.
This allegations have caught fire and are spreading like bush fire. Against this backdrop of claims of him being an immigrant, the ground has shifted and no longer favors him.
To be a govermor, he will definitely struggle with overcoming claims of ancestry & originality, before he makes a stab at the governorship. His chances are already soiled and painted black, he will need Nigerian juju to overcome this huddle.
The matter has been made worse by the fact that he has accepted to be used to abuse and plot an over throw of the bon fide leaders of the Luhya community. He has soiled his chances and everyone is salivating to send him home come 2022.
