Rhumba kona by: Papa Noel – A man leaves his first wife after taking Tangawizi tea from another woman.

Song: Tangawizi.

Gone are the days when music was meant to educate and entertain.
Music like Manyake, Wamlambezi and the like make little sense to the old folks.

Visualize this, a man leaves his wife just because of taking a well brewed tangawizi tea? Well this is what Papa Noelle is talking about in his song ‘Tangawizi’.

The song ‘Tangawizi’ was composed by guitar virtuoso Papa
Noel Nedule. Known as Papa Noel because he was born on December 25th 1940. The song was first
released in 1982. The lead vocalist for this song is Ntesa Dalienst.

In the first stanza, the man’s first wife decides that she cannot put up with sharing her husband
with another woman. …
Ngai nalembi nakoki lisusu te..
(Iam tired I cannot do anything else)
Ngai naboyi oh..
(I dont want oh..)

In the second section, the
new woman brags about intoxicating her man
with love and credits herself for causing the first wife to leave the marriage.
