Moses Nyangeresi Ogeto or simply Ogeto the MCA Kilimani Ward in Dagoretti North is a man on mission.
Arguably the youngest MCA to be elected in 2013, the University of Nairobi graduate has stamped his authority in city politics.
Those who love him or hate him do it in equal measure. Our people say that a chick that will grow into a cockrell is spotted the very day it hatches. True to this, Ogeto’s potential was spotted the very day he plunged into the murky city politics right from the University of Nairobi.
Humble, calm, relaxed but lethal whenever he makes his forward moves, Hon Ogeto has established himself as a voice to reckon with in Dagoretti North especially after the departure of Gov Simba Arati.
Christened as kijana ya Baba Raila Odinga, Ogeto has steered ODM party to greater heights even after Simba left to Kisii. The Nairobi county Majority whip is transforming the ODM party politics in Nairobi.
“ When Simba Arati left to Kisii, we felt like orphans untill Hon Ogeto stepped in to ensure ODM commands the same respect. He is wise and listens to all people. He is destined for greater things. We are glad that Ogeto has not only fitted in Simba’s shoes but also led us well. In the forthcoming party elections we shall rally behind Ogeto as our chairman ‘ said Chris an Odm member in DN.
Besides ensuring the infrastructure in Kilimani is upto date, Ogeto has administered bursaries without an aota of discrimination.
“Bursaries belong to this people. One does not have to be my supporter to benefit. Personally I know the benefits of education and my wish is always to see our children go to school. Education is always the equalizer. As a leader I will always vouch for that” Ogeto MCA Kilimani Ward.
On the ongoing unplanned developments in Kilimani, Ogeto has been on the fore front fighting for regulated development in his ward. This selfless act has earned him maximum respects amongst his constituents.

Last year while attending a party event in Nyanza, Hon Ogeto was involved in a grisly road accident that left him bedridden for months.
Several theories were floated with many of his diehards reading malice and foulplay but Ogeto remained unbowed.
” The accident with its devastating effects on my health only served to resolve my quest to serve my people even more. I thank my party leader Hon Raila for taking his time to visit me and wish me well. I also thank my constituents for visiting and wishing me well. Iam now okey and back on my feet ready to keep serving my people and my party. ODM remains the single most largest political movement in Kenya and that position must be defended at all cost” said Ogeto.

Hon Ogeto has steered the ODM party ever since Gov Arati left. Party activities have thrived. Under his leadership Ogeto ensured that ODM retains the DAGORETTI north seat despite the onslaught from UDA in 2022.
“There is no better joy than ensuring the party wins not only the MP seat but also 4/5 MCA slots. This shows the immense confidence the people have in us and our party leader. This we shall keep striving to uphold now and in future” added Ogeto.
