The day Nominated Mp Godfrey Osotsi wishes to forget as Senator Malala threw him under the bus.

The stage was set at Mariakani church of God to celebrate the life of Dr. Byrum Makokha who was until his death the leader of this great church and among Kenyans of goodwill who came for this celebration was EGH. H E former Deputy prime Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi.

Hon. Ayub, Senator Savula, Hon. Mudavadi and Woman rep Hon. Beatrice Adagala.

The ANC leader was accompanied by other leaders included Hon. Alfred Agoi, Hon. Ayub Savula, Hon. Omboko Milemba, Hon. Beatrice Adagala. As the celebration went on, Nominated Mp Hon. Godfrey Osotsi cut a lonely figure as he walked in a territory that already looked energized by the presence of the boss of the ANC party. He took his seat at the from to the far corner as the other seats had already been occupied.

The service proceeded on as the life of the spiritual leader whose works touched on many without discrimination was celebrated by all who came in. Moments later, senator for Kakamega majestically walked in looking happy as he received a warm welcome. The preacher finished the first part of the service and gave the remaining opportunity to leaders who had graced the church. Hon. Omboko Milemba was now the master of ceremony for political leaders and without much ado, he welcomed the Nominated Mp Hon. Godfrey Osotsi to air his eulogy.

As he stood on the podium, his speech traversed from left to right and right to left without having much in the center. He hopped from one issue without proper delivery to the other. He spent his donated time to paint a picture of a man who has received much support and spiritual support from the fallen Bishop. As he spoke the church listened attentively. He said, ” in may 2019 when I had evil spirits fighting me, it’s this Bishop who prayed for me and the spirits were defeated”

The church looked in silence as he reduced the international Bishop to an Omutete leader. Omutete is a person from one of the Bunyore clans. As he checked his shoulders, he realized he had no more time as he hanged his microphone as took his seat. The MC of the day called on the next speaker who didn’t disappoint.

The Vihiga Women rep, narrated how she worked with the late Bishop at Kima, donating 60 bags of cement to finish some construction. She went on to ask the nominated Mp to honor the promises he made to the Bishop before he died. She claimed the Mp had not fulfilled the promises he made in one of the functions. This revelation made the nominated Mp a bit uncomfortable in his chair but that is politics and politicians. She finished her address and the MC announced the next speaker who was the outgoing Lugari mp Hon. Ayub Savula.

Hon. Ayub praised the late Bishop and said, ” No one will fit in his shoes. We have lost a leader who mentored many of us. I was a ruffian and he prayed for me. His prayers have made me an Mp 2 times in a constituency Cyprus Jirongo and others couldn’t go for 2 terms. Let him rest in peace” said let his soul sleep in eternal peace.

The next speaker on the dais was the Senator for Kakamega who excited the listeners as his latest predicaments is anything to go by. He told the congregation that ” You have all seen me in the news speaking on different matters that have not gone well with my party leader. I have held different opinions or expressed different ideas that have not my party and party leader happy.

Today I met my brother Osotsi. We planned and agreed to come here before the church and before our party leader, the senior-most political leader from our community, to ask for forgiveness for all that we have said, for all the drama we have caused the party. But as he stood here to speak, I am shocked he is talking of Evil spirits. He is saying he was being fought by dark forces. Hon. Osotsi this is not what we agreed said the Senator.

This is not what we planned. My friend Osotsi, lower your pride. Come we rejoin our father, let’s support him, work with him, and let’s mobilize all young men and women to support Hon. Musalia Mudavadi. As he spoke, the seat Hon. Osotsi was sitting in became uncomfortable. He looked disturbed and thinking of an escape. The senator further said, I read resolutions at Kajiado though I still stand with the resolutions, allow me to make the following remarks.

When we arrived at Kajiado, we were given some drinks, and you know what these drinks can do to you. We agreed on Eugene Wamalwa and Wycliffe Oparanya be Luhya administrators because Eugene is in the cabinet and Oparanya is the chairman of county governments. By virtue of their current position, they should lobby for roads, medicine, and all other government projects or appointments for the people of western Kenya.

Their mandate will end in 2022. He said the political leadership of the community remains in the hands of Hon. Mudavadi and that’s how it is. He told the congregation the newly formed Mulembe Youth Movement will use its entire energy and resources to mobilize youths for Hon. Musalia. As soon as he finished his statement, the nominated Mp looked distressed as he stood and walked from church with nobody following him but his security detail.

It was a bad picture he painted before the clergy and the church. Hon. Musalia finished off by accepting Cleophas Malala’s apology. He said ” Malala you are my son, and I never hold onto or keep grudges.
