Why Gospel Artist Bahati chose to do DNA!

Age is nothing but a number, yes a number. Everything else is psychology and psychological and rarely physical. That’s the view of Kelvin Bahati also known as Bahati.

Bahati a Kenyan Gospel singer was born in 1994. His parents died while he was young and was taken to ABC children’s orphanage centre in Mathare slums where he received shelter and education.

He first rose to fame in 2012 as a young artist in the music industry with hit songs that captured the imagination of Kenyans. He had a sweet and mellow voice that took a swipe at the local artist by then.

His age not a matter of discussion, he took the industry by storm singing his heart out with a promising talent. As he was emerging there was another young artist who was springing on the scene and together their competition propelled them into the centre of gospel music Kenya. The artist was Willy Paul.

Since then Bahati has done well as compared to many artists who sprung to the scene of the industry with him. He has shown that it is possible and anyone can succeed. With fame comes responsibility. He has looked responsible but on relationship with women he has remained challenged. He stepped out from his first relationship where he sired with the woman one daughter.

And relationship being an issue that top celebrities grapple with, Bahati is not left out. When he broke with his first baby mama, he got confused and couldn’t understand what to do, and he bounced on to another breakaway mistress. Her name is Diana Marua. Diana had broken with Nickson Mudibo who many think is still his secret admirer.

Reports indicate that Diana Marua is older than Bahati but he couldn’t stop falling in love with her. To him, he says age is a number and a woman come after a man. But fellow artists have taken it maturely, they have always asked him, why did you marry a woman older than you. They have always made trolls and jokes about their relationship.

The truth is that Diana Marua is older than Bahati by 7 years and his fans and just like fellow artists think Diana Marua is old enough and knows many things that Bahati does know. One day Bahati responded by saying, hawa watoto wa social media wana post their frustrations from a bed sitter while him and Diana live a big house.

The swift responses that followed almost broke the Internet. Bahati believes age is nothing but a number and encourages men to love their wives even if they are older than them. The Gospel artist is not shy from controversy. We have seen him mimic Akothee dress code and dancing styles. At some point you might ask what the line between Gospel and secular.

When Diana Marua gave birth, Bahati wasn’t sure it was his baby. He had to go for DNA test to satisfy his curiosity. This move didn’t go well with fellow artists who asked him, Bwana mbona hujiamini? But whatever happens Bahati is living his life, from stricken poverty to some middle life.
