Ruling on Chiloba’s murder set for June 3rd.

After approximately one year of court hearings, the prosecution this week closed its case in the murder trial of LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiptoo alias ‘Chiloba’.

The High Court sitting in Eldoret was presented with a total of 22 witnesses by the prosecution before the case was concluded.

Evidence presented in court included call data records, M-Pesa statements, DNA profiles and forensic analysis reports.

Jacktone Odhiambo is accused of killing Chiloba between December 31, 2022 and January 3, 2023 at Noble Breeze Apartments in Chebisaas area, Moiben sub-county, Uasin Gishu county.

Chiloba’s decomposing body was discovered on January 3, 2023 in a metallic box along the Kipkenyo-Kaptinga road in Kapseret sub-county, Uasin Gishu county.

The court is set to deliver its ruling on June 3,
