END OF THE ROAD: Police Overpower Gang Associates in Late-Night Arrest of ‘Hammer Boys’ Boss Abdi Sebo.

It was approaching 10:00 PM at the busy Homa Bay Bus Stage when heavily armed police officers closed in on Kassim Abdi Sebo, effectively ending a high-stakes manhunt that had placed the alleged leader of the notorious “Hammer Boys” gang at the top of security priorities in the region.

What was intended to be the routine execution of a court issued arrest warrant over a pending assault case rapidly devolved into a dramatic late-night confrontation, threatening to plunge the transit hub into chaos.

Tense Standoff and Tactical Reinforcements According to eyewitnesses at the scene, trouble began shortly after officers apprehended Sebo.

A group of men believed to be his close associates swarmed the arresting officers in a bid to obstruct the operation and forcibly free their leader.

As the crowd grew increasingly hostile, the arresting team radioed for urgent backup, receiving firm instructions that the court warrant had to be executed without compromise and any resistance neutralized.Within minutes, armed police reinforcements arrived at the bus stage. The tactical show of force swiftly quelled the resistance, securing the perimeter and ensuring the prime suspect remained in custody.

That political violence resulted in multiple fatalities, including the death of a police officer, while scores of attendees sustained severe injuries, including panga cuts and blunt-force trauma. Prior to the raid, DCI investigators had directed Sebo to report to the Homa Bay County Police Headquarters to assist with ongoing probes into political gang violence and murder.

He failed to present himself, remaining on the run until officers caught up with him at the bus terminal.
