Ugandan Prime minister Dr Ruhakana Ruvunda quarantined


Uganda’s prime minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda has gone into self isolation after some of his contacts tested positive for the dreaded corona virus.

The prime minister who is also Uganda’s spokesman took to twitter and wrote:

“Friends, I have gone into self isolation after some of my contacts tested positive for #COVID19. My own test result is negative, however, I have taken this decision as a health recommended measure. #StaySafeUG.” He wrote.

Ugandans took to social media praising him for his bold move and praying for his well being.

Uganda has stepped up measures to combat covid 19 which has seen it extend a nationwide curfew and barring track drivers from crossing into Uganda
