Nelson Likhotio: Keep off Atwoli’s political Gymnastics whose end game is to make Raila president Luhyas told.

A section of leaders and scholars have told off Cotu boss Mr Francis Atwoli over his brand of politics which has the sole mandate of ensuring his brother inlaw Hon Odinga ascends to presidency by all means.

The self styled third most influential person after Uhuru and Raila seems to be losing his mind and doing so very fast.

A reknowned political analyst Proff Edward Kisiang’ani was the first to issue the warning.

“One final advice to these Luyia leaders who met at Atwoli’s home: keep off Mzee Atwoli’s divisive politics and keep Raila out of local Luhyia politics! Remember the latest casualty of the Atwoli-Raila politics is MP Chris Wamalwa. How long should this go on?” Prof Kisiangani quiped.

“My advice to the Mulembe people is this: Atwoli’s tactics of dividing the Mulembe people in order to achieve what he calls ‘unity’ will fail. Setting Eugene Wamalwa against Weta or Oparanya against Musalia is cheap politics. This will fail, absolutely.” he added.

It is no secret that Atwoli is Raila’s errand boy. He hides under luhya unity but those in the know will be able to tell that he is a fleet footed striker playing as Luhya defender but striking for Raila.

Atwoli should do luhyas a favor by offering himself for elections and see how many votes he will garner. As a life member of Kanu even his own ward at home in Kakamega is not represented by Kanu. Infact Kakamega county has a majority Anc Mps including his own member Hon Tindi Mwale.

Observers have indicated that Atwoli’s misery started when Mudavadi and Wetangula made a triumphant entry in Bukhungu during the BBI rally.

During the January 18 event, Atwoli had planned to coronate Raila (his brotherinlaw) as luhya king but it backfired big time when the two leading sons of Luhya Sen Wetangula and Mudavadi stole the thunder leaving Atwoli and his side kicks Oparanya and Malala wetting their pants.

Looking at how the Kajiado resolutions were hurriedly drawn, one may be forgiven for thinking that those zombies masquarading as luhya leaders jetted in from Mars and landed at Atwoli’s home and seeing plenty of food, wine and handouts, their brains went on recess.

Do luhyas need to beg for government appointments? Are luhyas not Kenyans? Do luhyas need to beg to have Mumias revamped? Does Atwoli and his zombified friends think luhyas dont pay tax?

All luhyas of sound mind should tell off Atwoli and his team. For 7years Uhuru’s regime has ignored luhya land simply because a majority of luhyas never voted him.

All this took place despite Atwoli’s Kanu supporting Uhuruto. If indeed Atwoli is the third most influential Kenyan, does he need 40 Mps to make Uhuru listen to him?

Atwoli epitomizes pilitics of hate, division and backwardness. The Mugabe of Cotu should be planning his own succession and let Luhyas and by extension Kenyans chart theirs.

Currently floods in western Kenya the home of luhyas have displaced over 20 000 families but Atwoli has donated nothing despite having millions under his bed.

There is trouble at the Kenya Uganda boarder and workers are having hard time crossing to Uganda yet all Atwoli is dreaming about is to have a clandestine political outfit to spread hate and division.

Covid 19 has led to many job losses but Atwoli remains silent shuttling between his palatial Kajiado home and media houses hating on Ruto who is old enough to be his grandson.

Atwoli is the sole problem and major impediment to a united luhya nation. The sooner he stops holding brief for his brother inlaw the better.

All luhyas of sound mind will forgive lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi for saying Atwoli cannot advice anybody least of all president Uhuru Kenyatta but the president hosts him for comic relief only.

Luhyas ignore the Kajiado joke and focus on liberating yourselves without Atwoli and his ilk.
