Kilifi County Deputy Governor has exposed the whole county to coronavirus, CS Health says he will be charged in court for his recklessness watch video

Today March 21st Kenya has recorded 8 new cases of the dreaded covid 19 bringing to 15 the number of confirmed cases .

The latest addition is a senior Kilifi county official who had travelled to Germany.

According to sources within the Kilifi county ranks, it is alleged that the Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi travelled to Germany against the wishes of his boss. It is further stated that the officer literally sneaked to Germany because of the allure of per Diem.

Upon his return home on March 4th, the officer has interacted with the Governor Kilifi Amason Kingi,CECs and most of the county staff and even attended a women event on 8th to celebrate the world’s women day.

While confirming the forceful quarantine imposed on the officer, health Cs said this

” I can confirm that a Kilifi county official has been forcefully quarantined after tastes turned positive. We shall seek to institute charges against him for defying orders and failing to proceed to self quarantine . However the irresponsible official will meet the cost of this forceful quarantine” Cs Kagwe said. The CS ran short of naming the officer nut social media is a wash with pictures of health officers fumigating the offices of the Kilifi deputy governor an indication that he is the officer in question. The government is tracking over 300 people who may have been contacted by the 8 victims

The Deputy Governor has put a whole county government at risk, Kilifi county CEC’s are a worried lot.
