Amani National Congress ANC legislator Hon Godfrey Osotsi has lashed out at the west for sugesting that the corona virus vaccine should be carried out in Africa on Africans.
Hon Osotsi has termed the sugestion as an act of aggression on Africa and an insult to the inteligence of Africa as a continent.
“Africa is not an abbys for neo colonial fantasies and all sorts of experiments. Infact the corona virus vaccine should be tested on Chinese then Europe before hitting Africa. Afterall, the epicenter of all this was Wuhan in China and we have seen it now shift to Europe where Italy and Spain are hardest hit and now new epicenter” Hon Osotsi said.
“Whereas I laud the efforts by virologists world over in trying to find a lasting remedy for this pandemic that is threatening our very own existence, I take issue with using Africa as an experiment ground. It is demeaning considering that the virus does not respect race, creed or religion”Hon Osotsi added.
The first time Mp joins a list of world leaders who have condemned the experiment being carried out on Africans first.
Soccer stars Etoo and Drogba too have raised their opposition too.
Confirmed covid 19 cases have now hit 123 in Kenya with 4 death so far. Kenya is currently on a partial lock down from 7 pm to 5am for the next 30days.
Hon Osotsi has called on Kenyans to remain disciplined by observing the directives by the ministry of health. Regular hand washing, sanitizing and keeping social distance
