Makadara MP, ODM Nairobi Boss Urge Respect for Ruto and Raila, Caution Against Reckless talk.

Makadara MP George Aladwa, who also chairs ODM Nairobi County, has called for political maturity and mutual respect towards both President William Ruto and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking during a public function in Nairobi, Aladwa warned ODM leaders against what he described as “reckless and directionless talk” that risks plunging the country into unnecessary tension and division.“

As the ODM Party, we fully support the broad-based government led by His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto, and we remain firmly guided by our Party Leader, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, who has consistently championed unity, peace, and national cohesion,” Aladwa said.

The vocal city MP emphasized the need for discipline within the party and urged fellow leaders to remain loyal to the ODM ideals and committed to its clear direction. He stressed that internal wrangles and public spats only serve to distract from the party’s long-standing mission of reform and progress

ODM stands for order, growth, and inclusion. We must protect this legacy by staying focused and respectful in how we express our political positions,” he added.

Although Aladwa did not mention any names, political observers believe his remarks were a veiled jab at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

Sifuna has recently ramped up criticism against the broad-based government model, accusing some party leaders of endorsing what he called “a betrayal of ODM’s principles.”The internal rift has sparked debate among ODM supporters, with some calling for urgent dialogue to align the party’s messaging.
