Orange Democratic movement (ODM) members have been left wryling after word went around that the party may not field candidates in the forthcoming elections after all. The matrix has been complicated further by the meeting between Kalonzo, Mudavadi, Wetangula and governor Charity Ngilu held yesterday at the Stoni Athi.
According to sources who did not wish to be named, Odm has secretly reached a pact with ANC, FK, and Wiper movement not to field a candidate in the three by-elections so as not to be seen as antagonizing the trio owing to their unequivocal support for the BBI.
‘’What you people don’t know is that Odm will not be fielding a candidate in Matungu and Kabuchai. In fact, our 2017 candidate Mr. Achayo has already sought refuge in the little-known MDG party while others like former Mp David Were are likely to run as independent candidates. This new brand of giving and take is expected to help both ODM and Jubilee run on a joint ticket here in Nairobi in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections’’ our source said.
Kalonzo, Ngilu, Wetangula, and Mudavadi meeting at the Stoni Athi raises eyebrows.
Yessterday, the Wiper Democratic Movement leader hosted bot Wetangula, Mudavadi and Ngilu to a meeting which has kept Kenyans talking.
Several political commentators see the meeting as a plot to galvanize their respective regions to deny the Deputy President ground considering that Ruto has been making inroads and if he is not stopped this early, stopping him in 2022 will be a tall order.

That Mudavadi coalition has the blessings of Raila. You will be confused still. Know why ODM is not fielding candidates in Matungu and Machakos? ODM might even support one of Mudavadi or Musyoka’s candidates for Nairobi. Meanwhile, think. Stop being deceived.
If this arrangement is anything to go by, then all pointers indicate that the Nairobi gubernatorial race shall be a BBI/handshake affair where ODM and Jubilee are expected to run the show.
