Sam Nyamweya is the singular problem bedevilling Kenya’s soccer.

Uncle Sam Nyamweya epitomizes everything sorry about our past soccer. The man is so much used to disorder that the 4years of tranquility under the good stewardship of Nick Mwendwa makes him burn with rage.

It is not lost among soccer lovers that minutes to the last FKF elections, the good man saw light and threw in the towel. The gods of soccer would not let him continue raping the good game.

Many will remember how Nyamweya threatened Former harambee stars player Innocent Mutiso. Mutiso’s only problem was  challenging the then Mugabe of local soccer but just like all Mugabes, his time came and he left and ‘wented’ so to speak

Nyamweya in a past event as Fkf boss

Nyamweya’s speech as he stepped down in 2016.
Whether it was out of the love of the game or sensing defeat., this is how Nyamweya signed off!

“Through deep personal reflection, consultation with my family, friends and stakeholders of the beautiful game have led me to making this decision to focus on serving my country in other capacities yet I will be available to offer my support and advice to those that I will be handing over the mantle to,” Nyamweya stated in his speech in 2016.

Nyamweya further pointed out his ‘love’for the game stating:

“I have made this decision out of love for the game, the passion and appreciation that no good leader should be pushed to give up power and that; while I may still possess the energy and drive to lead FKF, there may be others with fresh vigour and charisma to take over and my input would be much more relevant in alternative spheres of service” added Sam.

Fresh vigor, charisma and vision won under Team Change~Nick Mwendwa.

As Nyamweya exited, the whole country breathed a sigh of relief. Nick Mwendwa riding on the change mantra carried the day beating city lawyer and Gor Chairman Ambrose Rachier to 50:27 (Never mind Even Nyamweya’s so called voters settled for Nick).

While accepting the honor to lead Fkf, Nick Mwendwa pledged to return soccer to its long long glory a fete he has tried very much with women soccer riding high and Kenya taking part in Afcon after a long hiatus.

Why did Nyamweya, Musonye and Twaha pull out?Did they fail to get KRA,CRB and good conduct from cid?

Many soccer lovers are finding it abit crazzy for Nyamweya who pulled out of his own organized elections in 2016 sighting family and business pressure and total love of the game would be dying to jeopardize a democratic process.
Has Nyamweya closed his businesses?
Has Nyamweya’s family gotten bored with his company?
Has Nyamweya’s love for soccer died (did he even ever loved soccer?)

Many questions arise but we leave it to them(Nyamweya,MusonyeandTwaha) to come clear.

Many young  Kenyans depend on soccer and its progress a way from man made side shows with sole intentions of ending in court should not be entertained.

Musonye’s record at CECAFA is clear and if indeed he wanted to redeem it, facing Mwendwa, Mule,Osano,Aduda and Mwachiro on the ballot was the only way out. He will not get reprieve in courts infact taking matters to court will erode the small respect he still command as a soccer enthusiast.

“Anybody can even now walk to FKF and demand to be paid 15M owed to him during Nyamweya’s time. It was pathetic with no clear records kept but under my leadership we have well kept records and books of accounts with every penny accounted for”

Fkf boss Nick Mwendwa said on Ntv  sports hour while unpacking the disorder that was during Nyamweya’s time.

As soccer lovers, we should speak out against those individuals grandstanding with the sole aim of pushing Kenyas soccer into the abbys.
Elections must hold and and dispute arising thereafter sorted out within the confines of soccer governing rules from Fifa.
