Paul Rusesabigana hero in the Hotel Rwanda film has been arrested.
Hotel Rwanda a movie on the Rwanda genocide documented how Paul a manager at the Mille collines hotel saved hundreds of those escaping from terror.
Paul Rusesabagina was arrested abroad, where he had been living in exile. The Rwanda Investigation Bureau says he was arrested on an international warrant for forming and leading “terrorist movements” operating in the region.
Mr Rusesabagina, 66, was awarded the US Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005, among other human rights awards
Rusesabagina has been repeatedly mentioned by previously arrested terror suspects, including FLN spokespersons, “Maj’’ Callixte Nsabimana and “Capt” Herman Nsengimana, as the main financier of the terror group that has made incursions into Rwanda, killing and abducting people.
According to RIB, Rusesabagina is currently detained at Remera Police Station while his case file is being processed in accordance with Rwandan criminal procedure
