Karua hits Nairobi as she campaigns for Igathe’s gubernatorial bid.

The Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance presidential running mate Martha Karua took her time off the presidential campaigns to pitch camp in the Kenyan capital city to campaign for Azimio’s Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Polycarp Igathe on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022.

Karua urged Nairobians to vote for Igathe as he was best suited to make Nairobi restore its past lost glory.

“In the last elections you voted in a joker who came and joked around with managing the city. This time round don’t repeat that mistake of voting in an incompetent person. Vote for Igathe for Nairobi’s prosperity,” she said.

Karua urged Nairobians to vote for a six piece suit of Azimio candidates in Nairobi and also for those aspiring to be Members of County Assembly.

Karua joined Igathe’s campaign trail in Marikiti (Starehe constituency) and Burma markets (Kamkunji), Kawangware (Dagoretti South), Kariobangi (Embakasi West and North), Masimba (Embakasi Central) and Githurai (Kasarani).

Karua campaigned together with the Westlands Member of Parliament Tim Wanyonyi (MP), Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Nairobi senatorial candidate Edwin Sifuna, Nairobi Women representative Esther Passaris, Roysambu MP Waihenya Ndirangu, Kasarani legislator Mercy Gakuya, Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch, and Gender Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rachel Shebesh.

Others on the campaign trail were Azimio aspirants in Nairobi including Dennis Waweru (Dagoretti North), Amos Mwago (Starehe), Harrison Wangoro (Embakasi North), Mark Mwenje (Embakasi West) and Sam Mwangi (Embakasi Central).
