Kitasuru Mca Hon Alvin Palapala to be quized over embezzlement of funds meant for bursary*
Nairobi county is once again on the spot over embezzlement of funds. According to records, the besieged county 047 Governor Hon Mike Sonko had set a side 300M to be used by the 85 Mcas to help the needy students in Nairobi.
This noble gesture has been abused and the DCI is currently investigating two city mca’s over diversion and or embezzlement of funds.
Take for instance, Hon Mberia of Karen ward is called to account for monies disbursed via Kobudho education institute where Job Omondi has been mentioned adversely. Initial reports indicate that Job is an employee of the Nairobi county.
In Westlands constituency’s Kitasuru ward, Hon Alvin Palapa using N.T. Talvo and Tabitha Luchesa too are under the microscope over diversion of funds.
This latest unfolding has delt a big blow on Hon Alvin Palapala’s ambitions to replace Westlands Mp Hon Tim Wanyonyi who is in the race to succeed the embattled city governor Hon Mike Sonko in the next elections.
The Nairobi county speaker Hon Beatrice Elachi when reached for comment was categorical that she cannot comment on issues under investigations but stated that the investigative urgency should do their work to completion.
