Atheists president Harrison Mumia clash with pastors over church re-opening.

Harrison Mumia, President, Atheists in Kenya Society has urged the government not to reopen churches.

“As Atheists in Kenya, we did a survey & Kenyans are happy with Sunday silence. Residential areas had a lot of noise from church speakers. Churches should be digitized, we forget about these physical churches ” Mumia said.

There has been a raging debate on whether to open churches or not.
Kenyans have given mixed views even as churches and schools remain closed.

” There was a prayer day organized by the President, to pray for the country & COVID-19 & the numbers are not going down. The God they pray to, should be flexible to accommodate some of these technologies” Mumia added.

However Man Kush, Pastor & Comedian belkeves that Worship places should be open, ” I do not understand why they are closed. The Govt. is underestimating the churches, especially since restaurants are open” he said.

His fellow pastor supported the reopening of churches and said.
Pastor T Mwangi had this to say
“There’s no scientific report to justify churches are hotspots, every gathering is a hotspot. Politicians are gathering like there is no COVID-19. Churches do not gather all day; markets are open all day. Once regulations are provided, we will adhere” Pastor T Mwangi opined
