Hon Osotsi lauds Government’s efforts on curbing spread of corona virus as he calls for caution

Amani National Congress Mp Hon Godfrey Osotsi has added his voice on the corona viruse epidermic.

Speaking from his office at Continental building, Hon Osotsi lauded the government efforts in curbing the spread of covid 19.

“So far government agencies are doing a good job in ensuring our entry points are properly manned. All the cases reported so far are imported cases which means we can seal our inlets. I fully support the president’s directive stopping entry of traffic both air ,land and sea from countries that have so far reported cases of covid 19” Hon Osotsi said.

Hon Osotsi urged fellow Kenyans not to panic and follow directives from the ministry of health officials and make use of toll free numbers and sms code *719#.

Meanwhile, Kenya has so far confirmed 7 cases of corona virus in the country.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe noted that all the 7 cases have been imported .

He assured Kenyans that the government is doing everything possible to contain spread of the virus.

“As of today, we have an additional 3 cases of coronavirus bringing the number of cases in Kenya to 7. All these are imported cases of the 3 is a couple from Spain & a Burundian from Dubai,” he said.

“It is now clear that the threat (coronavirus) that we face is from Kenyans who are coming from overseas…,” Hon Mutahi added
