While he wants to appear like he was fired without due process, Citizen journalist Makori Ongechi was actually fired rightfully. The preceding following his sacking have emerged online with the report indicating that the former Journalist was fired for gross misconduct.
The report shows that Ongechi was fired because of soliciting money from clients in the name of citizen Tv in order to air their report. In one case, the report cite him trying to manipulate the governor of Turkana to give him money so that he can air the show.
Kenyans had come online to blame Joe Ageyo and Linus Kakai for his uneventful sacking. And while he went on air to thank the duo for cordial friendship at work, it appears he had incited KOT who never spared the pair of Joe and Kakai. In his post Ongechi went on to say,
I want to thank Joe Ageyo and Linus Kaikai for the experience and opportunities they have given me while I worked with Citizen TV. I learned so much in that role, and I know my experience will serve me well as I make the next move in my career. God bless you all.
The report seems to have vindicated Joe and Linus leaving Ongechi breathless. He was charged and he pleaded guilty to charges as were laid before him. The media industry is always bias as many people fall victims to the quacks who ask for money before airing the story.
