Life begins at 40 but does not end there. It proceeds to finding means and ways of sustaining yourself and needs of your family. That being the case, a 70 year old grandmother was today nabbed by police as she transported bang. The police attached to Mlolongo police station in Machakos county said.
Tipped by undisclosed sources, the detectives laid siege and managed to catch the old lady as she had alighted from the matatu. Led by their boss Joaquem Kangangi, the police said that this is the second incident in Mlolongo township in a span of two months. They recently arrested another woman who was transporting Bang within the area.
The Athi-river sub-county police commander Catherine Ringera said there have been a series of youthful and old women transporting drugs in this area and they have taken up the matter to bust this ring of drug peddlers. She said because schools are closed, many drug lords have taken up the business and are recruiting young females to act as transporters of the illicit drugs in the area and as a police force will not condone this behavior. They will arrest all without discrimination.
