Western politicians will always be the enemy of Luhya politics! They will always work behind their brothers backs to back bite and stab their brothers for outsiders success.
The idea Luhya community is a mirage, the concept the second largest community with numbers is a morning fog, these numbers cannot scare anyone, even if they pray for a thousand years. The community is more religious and their opium is political disunity, they rarely smoke unity of power for themselves.
The community enjoys sibling battling and useless rivalry, they don’t realize politics is a game of numbers, community power and oneness for ultimate prize. They have become a ladder that whoever wants to cross river Jordan will definitely line them in pieces for his own use and dump once destination is reached.
They scheme for small fees, for some politics is daily job but ultimate power or taking government is work of fiction. Picture this scenario, on 18th January 2020, while speaking at Bukhungu stadium, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi and Hon. Moses Wetangula, told off Cotu Secretary general and scuttled his subtle moves he had engineered to install Hon. Oparanya to be Hon. Raila’s gate keeper for the 2022 elections in western Kenya.
This move was publicly denounced by the two brothers as the crowd cheered and made mockery of Secretary general of Cotu. Rumours has it that, the sentiments made by Hon. Musalia and Hon. Wetangula on January 18th 2020 at Bukhungu, shocked Atwoli and actually scared Hon. Raila Odinga who didn’t see it coming, Atwoli was under immense pressure because the crowd had turned hostile, and they dared him make his threats possible. He was rushed to hospital after the meeting because, his expectations were rejected by the very people he thought he could bulldoze.
January went and what followed was No body can stop reggae, ” the defense of nonsense ” The movement of chest thumping, vulgar talk and pigeon mentality. The Luhya rivalry continued throughout this movement and you could see plainly how some remarkable forces wanted to humiliate other Luhyas who looked like don’t agree or fully support the defense of nonsense!
Covid-19 having shot and downed the movement of reggae and displaced public appearing of all politicians, rumours have it that, the Cotu Secretary general is financing the registration of another political party to add to already existing political parties in western Kenya.
His words not withstanding during the Bukhungu stadium embarrassing scene, the Cotu Sg had called on Hon. Musalia and Hon. Wetangula to disband their parties and form one single party but now he is sponsoring the registration of another party where it will be used to further the division of politics in western Kenya.
Sources says that the meeting that was held at Atwoli’s home during the Covid-19 pandemic and attended by Hon. Raila, Murathe and Eugene Wamalwa, the meeting instructed Hon. Eugene wamalwa and Wycliffe wangamati to register Democratic Action Party of kenya (DAP)
Sources further said that money exchanged hands for the registration of the party. This is not new for western politics. Political pundits believe, Hon. Raila and COTU SG, Mr Atwoli believe, Hon. Raila can become the president but his chance will be hampered by Hon. Musalia Mudavadi who also has 99.99999 % chance of occupying state house once president Uhuru retires.
These are realities that are disturbing Brother Atwoli and his brother in law. They also believe, they have forced deputy president in a corner and chances of him recovering are slim. With that in mind, they think forming a political party solely for western Kenya will slow the oncoming combined force of Hon. Mudavadi and Hon. Wetangula before 2022 race whistle blows off!
Put their imagination on one hand and put crutical thought on the other hand, critical thinkers are asking, has Atwoli helped anyone form the government in this country? Do you think Western Kenya needs another political party just to help Hon. Raila ascend to presidency. Between Hon. Mudavadi and Hon. Raila if they are the only horses in the race, do you think Hon.
