Raila’s trusted soldier rallies the city base — vows to keep ODM united and unstoppable

In the heart of Nairobi’s political arena, Hon. George Aladwa has once again stamped his authority as the Orange Democratic Movement’s indomitable city commander — a man molded by Raila Odinga’s fire and now leading the charge to keep ODM’s flame burning bright across the capital.

This afternoon, Aladwa hosted Deputy Party Leader H.E. Simba Arati in a high-energy consultative meeting with ODM delegates from all 17 city constituencies, reaffirming the party’s grassroots strength and unity.

Raila taught us resilience, integrity, and bravery,” Aladwa told delegates. “We shall rise to the occasion and guard all the gains made so far. ODM shall forever remain one united family.”

Backing the Broad-Based Government

During the meeting, Aladwa threw Nairobi’s weight behind the ODM Central Committee’s decision to support the Broad-Based Government, while pledging unwavering loyalty to Hon. Oburu Odinga as Party Leader.

“Chama iko imara,” he declared. “ODM is strong, organized, and ready for the future.”

His remarks underscored a growing sense of stability within the Orange party, particularly in Nairobi, where Aladwa’s grassroots network remains unmatched.

Arati: No More Nomination Chaos

Deputy Party Leader Simba Arati, himself a veteran of Nairobi’s political trenches, hailed Aladwa’s leadership and pledged to restore order during party primaries.

“When I first won my ticket to represent Dagoretti North, I had to move from hotel to hotel, forest to forest, office to office to secure it,” Arati recalled.

“Under my watch as Deputy Party Leader, I will not allow this to happen again. Aspirants should feel free to engage the ground knowing that their victory will be respected.”

His remarks drew thunderous cheers from the delegates, signaling renewed confidence in ODM’s internal democracy.

Focus on Kariobangi North By-Election

Turning to the forthcoming Kariobangi North Ward by-election, Aladwa promised to personally lead ODM’s campaign machinery to deliver victory.

“We are ready for battle,” he said. “ODM will defend its colors and emerge stronger than ever.”

ODM’s Future Secure in the City

With the full attendance of Nairobi’s ODM MPs and county leadership, the meeting sent a clear message:
The Orange wave is alive — and under Aladwa, ODM’s fortress in Nairobi stands unshaken.

“Under his watch, ODM is not just surviving — it is reorganizing, re-energizing, and rising again,” one delegate whispered proudly.

About George Aladwa
The former Nairobi Mayor and current ODM County Chairman and Makadara lawmaker has long been one of Raila Odinga’s most loyal foot soldiers. Known for his fiery oratory and unyielding grassroots touch, Aladwa remains the heartbeat of ODM’s strength in Kenya’s capital.
