This is Jose Kongolo FBI

Jose Kongolo FBI is a name frequently echoed in Congolese Rhumba songs—but not as a singer or performer. Rather, she is a Congolese businesswoman based in Paris, widely respected for her compassion, generosity, and unwavering Christian values.

She owns a well-known restaurant and lounge in Paris, which has become a sanctuary for many Congolese musicians stranded or struggling in the diaspora.

Why the Name “FBI”?

Her nickname FBI doesn’t refer to law enforcement—it stands for “FBI wa Yesu”, meaning Jesus’ FBI. Jose Kongolo is known to open her doors to Congolese artists who find themselves stranded in Paris, helping them with accommodation, food, spiritual counsel, and even fundraising for return air tickets to Kinshasa.

She uses every encounter with these artists to urge them to reflect on their lives and embrace faith in Jesus Christ. Her quiet evangelism has borne fruit.

Musicians She Has Helped

Over the years, Jose Kongolo FBI has extended a helping hand to dozens of prominent and upcoming musicians, including:

  • Werrason, who has publicly thanked her for her kindness
  • JDT Mulopwe, once stranded in Paris, was accommodated by her for weeks
  • Roga Roga, the Extra Musica star, has praised her in interviews
  • Celeo Scram, who refers to her as “mama wa artistes”
  • Charly Solo and several backup dancers and instrumentalists from Kinshasa-based bands who found temporary refuge in her lounge during hard times

Those Who Got Born Again

Some musicians are said to have given their lives to Christ following her influence and support, including:

  • Montana Kamenga, formerly with Wenge Maison Mère
  • Miel de Son, known for his powerful vocals, now openly speaks about his renewed faith
  • Cindy Le Coeur, though not confirmed, is often mentioned in spiritual transformation circles tied to Kongolo’s mentorship

Clearing the Confusion

Jose Kongolo FBI is often confused with Jose Kongulu, the son of the late former Zairean president Mobutu Sese Seko. The two, however, are not related and have entirely different backgrounds. The similarity in names is purely coincidental.
