Chief officer disaster management Hon Bramwel Simiyu hits Dagoretti North, with ‘Lets make Nairobi work mantra’

.

Governor Sakaja and his team of dedicated CeCs and chief officers are working extra hard to ensure that service delivery and Sakaja’s manifesto is understood  by Nairobians and what is done at the  implimentation stage is also seen by the voters. This is in line with what Sakaja calls ‘Lets make Nairobi work’. As they do these things, the Sakaja administration has clearly known who the boss is ie the voter.

When they are not in offices attending crucial meetings, the cecs and chief officers are on the ground supervising the implimentations and on weekends, they are all out mingling with voters listening to their needs and how best to serve them.

Governor Sakaja is  ready and willing to help the growth of this church. My being here is a clear testament that Hon Sakaja means well for this church and the community of God at large. Bramwel Simiyu has turned around city’s disaster response and management.

Mr Simiyu took the opportunity to enumerate steps  he has put in place to ensure disasters are nipped in the bud and whenever some happens, his team of trained and motivated personnel are always upto the daunting task.

Under the sound leadership of your governor Hon Sakaja, we have put in place a 24/7 emergency fire response team that has been fighting fires in the city. To ensure efficiency and professionality, our team has undergone training and now they are ready to battle the challenges using the modern fire engines that the city currently enjoys. Whenever a disaster has hit, my office has always made plans to supply the affected hoiseholds with foodstuffs, bedding and also helping them rebuild their lives again. All these cannot happen if you dont have a governor who has your interests at heart. There cannot be any better governor for us in this city than governor Sakaja” said Simiyu as chants of tano tena rented the air.

His mission in Dagoretti North did not just end at Kabiro church, the chief officer took his gospel to a fully packed Kawangware PAG church which incidentally was hosting Hon Tim Wanyonyi and a host of Azimio MCAs.

At the church event, despite the presence of Hon Tim Wanyonyi who has already declared interest in Nairobi governorship, Mr Simiyu challenged the over 2000 congregants not to gamble with their votes but instead give Sakaja another term to keep serving them.

Using the mbwekse term that is now synonymous with Gov Sakaja, he said.

When we say Ngumi ni bwekse, we mean Sakaja tano tena. You cannot replace top a striker who is scoring goals and look for another one. I challenge the church as you pray for our governor, also think of giving him a second term. Iam your son here in Dagoretti North and I will always walk with you to ensure our people get the desired development. I work with all your MCA’s well and even when things were very tough, the Nairobi county government under your son Gov Sakaja and myself as his chief officer have been distributing food through your MCA’s” added Mr Simiyu.

Mr Simiyu gave his personal donation of 10k each in the two churches besides delivering Sakaja’s 100k.

It was at this juncture that locals  started a conversation to try and persuade him to consider offering himself for election in Dagoretti North to which Mr Simiyu said,, ” for now let us all work towards helping Sakaja deliver to Nairobians and difer this debate to 2027″. It is this statement that is causing political excitement in DN.
