MOFA crushes out of FKL mozzart cup as both Tusker and AFC leopards advance.

MOFA, AP fall as FKF PL teams advance in Mozzart cup round of 16.

The Michael Olunga Football Academy FC (MOFA) went down fighting as the National division one side lost by a solitary goal to FKF Premier League side KCB at the Gusii Stadium as the Mozzart cup round of 32 was played over the weekend. MOFA put up a good fight against KCB, however, it was not enough, and the bankers scraped through with a 1-0 win.

MOFA conceded a 13th-minute goal courtesy of KCB striker Kennedy Ochino and went on to crash out of competition.

Administration Police lost 2-0 to Bandari in Yatta as former champions AFC Leopards saw off Zetech Titans beating them 2-0 while Tusker recorded the highest margin win by demolishing Berlin FC of Garissa 7-0.

In other matches, Kariobangi Sharks routed Marula 6-0 at the Longonot Horticulture grounds in Naivasha in a doubleheader shortly after Kakamega Homeboyz beat Shalimer 4-3 on post-match penalties after the teams had settled on a barren draw.

Rainbow went through to the round of 16 following a 5-3 post-match penalties victory over Migori Youth, The teams had settled for a 2-all draw. At the Mumias sports complex, Darajani Gogo beat Nyota by a solitary goal as Equity saw off Mara Sugar 2-1 in Kasarani Annexe. Gor Mahia shoved off Kibera soccer 1-0 while Kenya Police beat Scarlet 4-1.

Sofapaka beat Karatina Homeboyz 3-0 in their Mozzart Bet Cup fixture played at Karatina Stadium to secure a spot in the round of 16.

Kakamega Homeboyz drew 0-0 and slipped through Nakuru-based side Shalimar FC. The Premier League side scraped through 4-3 on penalties.

FKF Premier League sides kicked off their Mozzart Bet Cup campaign with wins as they all advanced to the round of 16.

Tusker FC swept aside Berlin FC 7-0 as Luanda Villa suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of Muranga Seal.

Bidco United needed penalties to overcome Lions FC in Kericho and in Kajiado, Ulinzi eliminated Kajiado FC who outplayed the soldiers in the first half but failed to make their dominance count. Two second-half goals sealed the fate of the spirited NSL outfit.

In the coastal Derby Mwatate United and Coastal Heroes shared the spoils but Mwatate United got the better of their rivals in the post-match penalties, winning 4-2.

The round of 16 matches will see Tusker play against Rainbow as KCB entertain Bidco. Sofapaka will be up against Darajani Gogo as Kenya Police have a date with Ulinzi Stars in a disciplined forces derby.

In other fixtures, Kakamega Homeboys will have a date with Gor Mahia as Kariobangi Sharks play Equity. AFC Leopards will play Muranga seal while Bandari play a coastal derby with Mwatate United.
