Aladwa graduates from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga university and sets his eyes on Vihiga governorship.

Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa last Friday 3rd March graduated from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University.

This adds another feather to the maverick city politician’s glittering career as a public servant.

The Jovial MP who has already declared his intentions to contest the Vihiga gubernatorial seat in 2027 general elections graduated on Friday from the University’s Bondo campus in Siaya County.

The second-term Makadara legislator and the last Mayor of Nairobi is so far the favorite in the Vihiga race and his graduation in broad daylight is seen to be one step towards his march to the county top job.

“Education is the beautification of the inner world and the outer world. Every person has two educations, one which he receives from others, and one more important, which he gives to himself,” Aladwa wrote on his social media pages.

I’m honestly humbled by the knowledge that God is truly the one who holds our destiny. Today, I graduated from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University in Bondo. Those who know me will attest to my journey in life,” he added.

Aladwa has now succeeded in proving his naysayers wrong removing any doubts about his academic qualifications as he goes for his next big job as Vihiga governor.

Hon Aladwa during his graduation

Aladwa, a close ally to ODM Leader Raila Odinga has been seen as a clear front-runner as he rides on his closeness with the Azimio la Umoja leader. His closeness with the ODM leader will play a major factor considering the demographic and past voting pattern of the area which is home to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

Aladwa is also seen to be a favorite of the ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi who hails from the county.

Mudavadi is said to have a soft spot for Aladwa even though they are from different political parties.

Political observers opine that whichever party Aladwa runs on, he will definately be the next governor for Vihiga county.
