Gormahia and Afc Leopards stewards trade blows over witchcraft at Kasarani.

The 89th Mashemeji derby featuring city arch rivals Afc leopards and Gor lived up to its billing yesterday.

Afc leopards was the better side both physically and tactically. With young star Austin Odhiambo stringing passes as Elvis Rupia terrorising Joash Onyango at Gor defence, it came as a surprise at the 31st minute when Caleb Omondi capitalized on a goal mouth melee to put gor ahead.

During the halft time break, Ingwe’s lead steward Mr John Otimba bumped into some stuff that was believed to be witchraft. He questioned his Gor counterpart one Mr Omondi who became abusive.
Otimba then seized the elements and upon openning found blood, dried fish, a head of a black chicken, omena and some roots all tied in an old blue and white cutting from an ingwe jersey. War ensued and the muscle men exchanged blows for about 10 minutes before policemen separated them. Kasarani Ocpd could not make any arrests fearing for his own life.

“This is a clear sign of black magic, i leave it for the two teams to square it traditionally sisi police hatutaingilia” the law enforcer said.
Kogallo went on to win by a solitary goal. Ingwe players complained of blurred vision anytime they faced Kogallo’s goal keeper. Ingwe’s top markman Elvis Ripia who rarely misses a scoring chance was shooting wide even on a one on one situation.
