Is Musalia Mudavadi the Alternative change we need?

With the 2022 general election just 12 Month away, the political climate in Kenya is on the crescendo.  President Uhuru Kenyatta is serving his second and final term in office, with his fallout with deputy president having reached fever pitch, Kenyans are now left with the option of choosing the next president. But who is the most qualified candudate for the hot seat? Could Musalia Mudavadi  be the solution to the current economic quagmire bedevilling the nation?

Uchumi Bora Mantra ..

It’s the economy, stupid” is a phrase coined by James Carville in 1992, when he was advising Bill Clinton in his successful run for the White House.

In 1992, the US was experiencing an economic recession and the incumbent president, George HW Bush, was perceived as out of touch with the needs of ordinary Americans.

Yes, the same can be said of our currebt situation in Kenya, the tough economic times, corruption, an economy that has over-burdened the common mwananchi plus the covid 19 effects. Surely “It’s the economy stupid or the Uchumi bora mantra by Musalia Mudavadi could be the solution.

A hole in the government’s coffers..

Corruption is the single most disease that is slowing our country’s economic emancipation. Corrupt individuals in president Kenyatta’s government have made it hard for the country to stabilize.
Nobody paints a much clearer picture than the president himself when he admitted that his government loses to a tune of 2B daily.
Aror and Kimwarer dam saga, Kemsa, grabbing of public land have all painted our country negatively. However one individual in Kenyatta’s has become synonimous with corruption and that is his deputy William Ruto.

Whenever a scandal is mentioned, his name will always pop up, be it Weston hotel land, or the fake arms scandal in his office. Surely Kenyans should be wiser and avoid the hustler narrative like plague. This can only be done by choosing the right person for the top job.

Mount Kenya warms up for Musalia as they baptize him ‘Macharia’

Central Kenya is warming up to Mudavadi  a humble giant who many consider as the gentleman of Kenyan politics.
An avid reader and a keen listener, Mudavadi has launched a charm offensive in central Kenya exciting  the masses with his detailed and precise solution to our problems.

While in Nyeri,Mudavadi stated that the next ANC Sg will come from Central Kenya, could it be Symon Gikuru?

His onslought is being cordinated by a young city lawyer Wakili Symon Gikuru.
The Makerere University graduate is a rare gem in Mudavadi’s,  team. His leadership qualities started way back in Makerere where he was constantly catching the eye of Uganda’s president Yoweri Museveni.
Mr Gikuru has managed to blend  both the young and old in the vast Mount Kenya region into supporting ANC.

“We all know what is ailing our nation, the issue is economy and nobody is well suited to fix our economy other than Hon Musalia Mudavadi. It is this realization that has made us in central Kenya to rally behind him since most of us here are business people” said Gikuru.

Mr Gikuru has been instrumental in organizing and cordinating Mudavadi’s tours in central Kenya  which has seen him tour Nyeri,Murang’a,Nakuru and Nyandarua where Governor Kimemia the chairman of Central Kenya economic block hosted him.

In Murang’a and Nyeri both Governor Wa Iria and Mutahi Kahiga endorsed Mudavadi for the top seat this was only after Governor Lee Kinyanjui of Nakuru hosted Mudavadi in Nakuru and pledged his support for his 2022 presidential bid.

The pronouncements by these governors have changed the political equation in Mt Kenya as Mudavadi becomes the darling of the people.
It is however the straight talking Nyandarua governor who was even more candid in his speech.

“Today, in our midst we have a humble man, a peace  loving Kenyan, a man who fear God. Mimi kama Governor wenu siwezi leta hapa mwizi ama mganga, nimeleta hapa Musalia Mudavadi ambaye ni rafiki ya Uhuru Kenyattta naMwaka wa 2022 tutasimama naye hadi awe rais wa Kenya” Kimemia said.

When he took to the podium,Mudavadi  punched holes in the bottom up approach by Ruto terming it a connish move that lack a hallmark of an honest person ready to serve.

“Hii bottom up ndio nini? Kumeza kila kitu?quiped  Mudavadi.

Mudavadi went a head to state that in his government corruption will be dealt with and prudent use of government resources will be the hallmark of his administration as he revamp the economy.
With Raila phobia rife in central Kenya and protest vote against Ruto, Mudavadi is the natural choice for a majority of voters who have nicknamed him Macharia.

Is Central Kenya ready for Mudavadi?  Going by the amount of activities lined up by Mudavadi in central,it is no secret that he is the darling of the mountain, during the first two weeks of August, Mudavadi will be in Kirinyaga before hitting Uhuru’s home county of Kiambu where Sen Kimani Wamatiangi is cordinating the tour. Mudavadi is determined to spread his Uchumi bora Mantra across the nation.
