Finally the long wait is over.
When Nick Mwendwa won his second term in office as the president, he proposed a raft of measures which he has tried his best to accomplish.
First Mr Mwendwa promised to wrestle league management from KPL back to the federation. This has since been realized. Prezda as he is fondly known in soccer circles has also managed to bring on board Star Times as the league official broadcasters besides bringing forth Betking as the title sponsors.

FKF boss Mwendwa has now told www.goodmorningKenya.com exclusively that the new FKF Premier League Board has purchased a trophy made out of pure gold for the title winners this season. It will be dufferent from the past trophies.
“We will have 24-carat gold trophy, very heavy and enticing,” Mwendwa said.
“We have already purchased the trophy, it will be round in shape, very good for everyone’s eyes, these are some of the changes we promised after taking over the league. Today we shall unveil it.
Asked whether the trophy will be kept under lock and key for security reasons, Mwendwa said:
“We have already talked to KCB bank and they will keep the trophy for us, the trophy will then be paraded for everyone to see it.”
