Refigah selling his Mercedes -250 to help vulnerable Kibra families

Grandpa Records founder and CEO Refigah is selling his new car a Mercedes-Benz 250.

“Refigah is born and bred in Kibra and understands Kibra social economic needs. It therefore was not hard for him to dispose off his car for the love of Kibra and its people” Kevo a youth in Kibra said.

The proceeds from the sale will go towards helping needy families in Kibra.
The Mercedes was initially a gift for his wife but due to the covid 19 pandemic he has decided to offset it.

Speaking to Good Morning Kenya, Refigah said many families in Kibra needed someone to support them at least get something to
eat in this pandemic period.

“I had just imported the car and my wife who was to be gifted it never knew it , but by the time it arrived, the pandemic had already hit our country prompting me to reconsider,” he said.

The car is part of the ‘Simama na Kibra food drive’, an ongoing programme aimed at providing food and necessities to 4,300 vulnerable families.

“I decided to boost the resources by converting the gift into food to sustain livelihoods of someone out there, who needs a car when our neighbours and friends are dying of hunger?” he said, adding that his wife has supported the initiative.

Refigah is urging more Kenyans to join hands and support the vulnerable families in Kibra and other parts of Kenya by donating whatever they can to
