Ingwe stadium in the offing as Hon. Mudavadi host Leopards lunch.

It was all smiles and laughter as Hon. Musalia Mudavadi hosted Leopards legion of players and the management for Lunch at the Ole sereni hotel early today.

In the post from the official handle of the club, it read,

AFC Leopards was this afternoon hosted to a luncheon by Musalia Mudavadi, an ardent and lifelong fan of the club.

And on his part, the ANC leader said,

” Today I hosted a Luncheon with AFC Leopards management and players at Ole Sereni, Nairobi. As an avid sports fan, we can no longer ignore the impact sports can have on a nation. It breads unity, discipline, and patriotism into our society and can be a great avenue for our youth to thrive if proper structures are put in place. This is what I want to see for Kenya.”

He further said AFC Leopards is an embodiment of a culture and a tradition. Cultures and traditions don’t disappear. The AFC Leopards badge (INGWE), carries the aspirations of many people especially the supporters.

We embarked on a journey to make sure that AFC Leopards has a home and soon we will finalize with the Ministry of Lands on the remaining dues then we start thinking about how to plan and develop the 20 acres of land, Said Mudavadi.

Sources close to the highly guarded Luncheon due to the height and devastating effects of coronavirus has intimated to GMKnews Hon. Musalia Mudavadi is spearheading tangible plans that will make sure AFC leopards owns the stadium in the coming years and the dream will be realized before the end of 2022.

The club through the leadership of Dr. Dan Shikanda has made various strides in acquiring the land that was donated to Leopards by the former president Daniel Arap Moi. So far the ANC leader has enabled the club to pay for the statutory fees to the ministry of lands and the title is being processed as we speak.

This is good news to the leopard’s fans who have craved for their own stadium for too many years. Once this is realized the club will be able to rake in revenue due to home matches. The stadium will also become an economic hub for the club. Many fans have jammed the social media as they register their own happiness due to this positive development.
