Amani national congress leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi has weighed in on the FKF presidential elections that are just around the corner.
Speaking today at Musalia Mudavadi center during his weekly commentary on sports, Hon Mudavadi said that both Tom Alila and Nick Musonye have what it takes to turn around soccer in the Nation
“I have known Mr Tom Alila both on a personal level as a friend of many years and also as a sports administrator who loves soccer. Alila has served as FKF official under Nyamweya which gives him a vast experience plus institutional memory. With him we can harvest big time considering that soccer is now a full time job” Mudavadi said.
On Nicholas Musonye, Hon Mudavadi said,
“Musonye’s record at Cecafa speaks volume for all to see, with him onboard, his expartise can be utilized to grow soccer.” added Mudavadi.
The entry of Tom Alila into the race complicates Nick Mwendwa’s arthmetic considering that most soccer clubs from the western region are now shifting their allegiance to Tom Alila camp.
Sony,Chemilil,Homeboyz,Kisumu all stars,Vihiga united are all warming up to Alila’s candidature.
Apart from Tom Alila, others who have declared interest include former International soccer player Sammy Shollei, Ludovick Aduda, Herbert Mwachiro, Twaha and Dan Mule the former Afc leopards boss.
Current FKF boss Nick Mwendwa is facing his first real test after an easy sail during his first elections.
Tom Alila held a lengthy meeting with Mudavadi this week at Mudavadi center where it is now emerging that the Amani leader adviced Alila and Musonye to consider working together.
Musonye and Shollei were crafting a deal to pair up in the forthcoming elections.
Should Alila/Musonye pair materialise, It is no secret that Gor Mahia and Afc leopards will be solidly behind the pair.
