ODM Makadara constituency grassroot leaders defect to ANC in masses.

If elections were held today, ODM will lose Makadara constituency by 10:00 AM. This was revealed when grassroot leaders who defected from ODM and welcomed by ANC boss into the party. The leaders were optimistic of a good future as they met ANC boss at MMC.

The leaders who were led by Mourice Imbale, Franklin Imbenzi and Faustine Imabali among others, have vowed to work towards marketing & branding ANC as the party of choice in Makadara constituency as they prepare to challenge for elective posts in 2022.

They have assured the ANC boss that, they will mobilise and campaign for ANC and his presidential bid vigorously until they achieve victory. The ANC boss on his part assured them of the party’s support and own personal input to make sure they achieve this goal. After the meeting, Franklin Imbenzi locally known as Kuka took to social media to break the news as he said,

” Today we were officially received by ANC party leader,His Excellency Musalia mudavadi. ANC makadara office has now embarked on the journey to reclaim makadara parliamentary seat and also support presidential bid of our party leader.Amani gatuzi. God above everything”

This move has exited people of Makadara constituency who believe in alternative leadership. The history of Makadara constituency shows that its Mps have been a one term servant. You can’t serve two terms unless you are blessed beyond human understanding. This notion of one term Mp, opens the field for all candidates.

Brian Mulama who contested for Harambee ward on ANC ticket in the last election has welcomed the grassroot leaders and he thanked them seeing light and for joining him in ANC. He said that, “together we will deliver Makadara to ANC because we understand voting patterns here and there is nothing impossible.”

On his part, Mourice Imbale who was short changed during ODM nominations said that, ” 2022 will end in tears for some people who don’t believe in free and fair elections” He asked Makadara voters to remain firm because change is in the air. Even though he couldn’t make it as an Independent candidate, he believes he has found a party that will make him compete without being denied a certificate at the end of nomination.
