Former City hall branch Chairman Joshua Asige appeals for calm in the den

.

Voices From Diaspora:

The current state in the den has attracted voices from far and wide. The latest to add his voice on the woes at the den is AFC Leopards Former City Hall branch chairman and Mr Joshua Asige.

Mr Asige a former city hall branch  chairman who is currently based in the US has called on Ingwe faithfuls to remain calm even as AFC leopards try to find its claws.

Afc leopards is currently facing some very difficult times. The current situation at the den calls for concerted efforts for all to remain calm and focus on redeeming the dwindling fortunes  of our beloved club Ingwe. This is not a time to start pointing fingers at one another, let us support our players and the TB even as we seek to turn the club around” Asige said.

Call for an SGM to sort out club issues.

Mr Asige has also called out the fans who misbehaved in Mbaraki over the weekend. After the match in Mbaraki some fans both at the stadium and on social media vented alot by directing their anger on the coach, players and Nec. This act did not go well with Asige and his fellow fans in the diaspora.

The world is now a global village. Over the weekend through social media outlets and the online appeal by the club coach Tomas Trucha has dented our image as a club. Such acts make us less attractive to potential sponsors. As a civilized society, Iam calling upon NEC and our members to call for an SGM to help members understand what could be ailing Ingwe and possibly help find a lasting solution. The success of this club will depend on us coming forth to reason things out. I have personally undertaken the task of meeting the diaspora family in helping find solution besides putting our minds  and resources together towards helping Ingwe. I shall be getting intouch with the management of AFC as soon as we have met in less than two weeks time ” added Asige.

Afc Leopards should have a well thought out recruitment regime so that whenever we recruit players, we are only going after the very best that are ready to not only play for the club but can also enhance the rich tradition of our club. Afc should be in a position to help our young fans relive the golden days of Joe Kadenge and the rest~Asige.

Revise our club Katiba to have more than 5 NEC members.

Mr Asige has further called on the club membership to consider revising the club Katiba to help in the club management.

AFC is such a huge club and restricting its management to the three denies the club of the wise counsil from the members. I would wish to request all the stakeholders to consider expanding the NEC to atleast 9 members. The 9 members should not only be ans but a dedicated team of professionals who can transform this club. It pains us even here in the diaspora when we see AFC  leopards at the tail end of the table. God forbid should the league end now like it happened during covid 19 days, Invwe shall be thrown into the NSL and should this happen then return to the top flight may not happen again God Forbid” added Asige.

The former chairman also weighed in on unity of the current executive members led by Dr Shikanda.

“As a former branch official,  I know very well what a united executive can do. The Shikanda led team should exhibit unity of purpose for the sake of the club. The unity should  not just be cosmetic but real followed by deeds. Nec should consult and make decisions that are binding for the general good of the club. When the executive is reading from the same script success will just follow. These are common management practices that are tried and tested.” Continued Asige.

Afc leopards is currently at position 17 having not won a single match. Over the weekend, the 13 times champions fell to Bandari in Mombasa. The solitary goal that settled the match left fans baying for the blood of both the TB, Players and NEC.

Mr Asige vied in 2016 for the position of vice treasurer and came second. He later relocated to USA where he is currently running his business empire
