Korogocho MCA Absolom Odhiambo ‘Matach’ lauds Sakaja’s cabinet.

Nairobi, 27th October, 2022: Korogocho Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Absalom Odhiambo popularly known as Matach or Matakweyi has praised the list of nominees that was unveiled yesterday by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to serve in his cabinet as County Executive committee members (CECM).

According to Matach, those trying to castigate the list of nominees should be aware that the governor nominated the real face of Nairobi and has given the youth a chance to be at the top leadership of the county and therefore must cease and let those appointed serve the great people of Nairobi.

“I want to thank Governor Sakaja for appointing CECs who are competent and who represent the face of Nairobi. The governor has shown faith in the youth and he has given them a chance to serve so we the MCAs in the assembly assure the CECs that when they come for vetting, we shall approve them and we all work for the people of Nairobi,” Matach told a section of the media.

He told off those who have been complaining that the Muslim community had been left out of the nominations saying that everyone had been brought on board. Further, he said that the Muslim community has had a fair share of government from the national level with high ranking personnel right from Aden Duale who has today been sworn in as a Cabinet Secretary to key independent offices and commission heads.
Those who are saying that Muslims have been left out just look at Sakaja’s cabinet, you will see a Muslim name and furthermore, you have a lot of representatives across various positions so there is no need to complain. Let the CECs come for vetting and we will approve them for us to start delivering services to the people of Nairobi,” Matach added.
