Serie A side Juventus have confirmed their center back Daniele Rugani has contracted coronavirus.
The club said the 25 year old is currently not showing any COVID-19 symptoms.
Rugani has made only seven appearances for Juventus this season and was named as a substitute during the club last game against Inter Milan on March 8.
A statement on Juventus website reads “The footballer, Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic.
Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him”.
Italy is on lockdown after the coronavirus outbreak, the number of dead nationally has risen by 196 to 827 in a day.
