It is all system go as Niarobi holds the first ever Azimio rally to kick start Raila’s road to statehouse.
Nairobi Gubernatorial front runner the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president Richard Ngatia has rallied his supporters and the residents of Nairobi in general to attend enmasse, the Nairobi Azimio Rally scheduled for tomorrow at the historical Kamukunji grounds.
Ngatia said that as he seeks to be Nairobi’s fourth governor, he wishes to see ODM leader Raila Odinga win the Presidency during the August 9th general elections and called on Nairobians to attend the rally at Kamukunji to show support for Odinga.
“ I am happy and grateful for your support to be the governor of Nairobi. I also ask you the people of Nairobi to make sure Raila wins the presidency because Raila is one of us from Nairobi. Raila was born and raised in Jerusalem Estate in Eastlands part of Nairobi. while I was born and brought up in Kangemi Westlands. As governor and President, together we will make this great city the best in Africa,” Ngatia said.
“A Raila presidency is what Nairobians need. I also find it easy to work with him and like me; Raila says what he means and means what he says. This attribute is the opposite of his main challenger and that is why we should all rally behind him to win the Presidency,” Ngatia said.
Ngatia, who has not officially launched his campaign for Nairobi Gubernatorial seat has been leading in all opinion polls that have been released since the beginning of the year and is likely to be the Azimio candidate in Nairobi.
