Earthquake killed OKA Declares Mudavadi

In a television interview with KTN News, Mudavadi said, “I think they (OKA principals) have been very nervous. I respect them, we have made our journeys but it is clear that maybe we might not have been exactly in consonance.”

He added, “What the earthquake has done is a classic situation that sometimes you have to throw the stone into the pond so that you can see what comes out. I could see people who are very nervous, they are not ready to make a decision out of free will.”

Mudavadi projected OKA’s lifetime, saying the alliance is on shaky ground and is not making any progress after his exit and that it has little chance of survival before the forthcoming general elections.

“If we are candid about the current situation, OKA is not sitting well. OKA is on shaky ground. There will be conversations to come but I want to move forward and I think OKA is not moving forward fast enough.”

It is during his National Delegates Conference, the event where he declared his Presidential bid that the two OKA principals Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and KANU chairman walked out of theBomas of Kenya upon the arrival of UDA party leader William Ruto.

Some legislators from the Western region including Democratic Action Party (DAP-K) leader Wafula Wamunyiyi, National Assembly Majority Whip and Navakholo MP  Emmanuel Wangwe have criticized Mudavadi over the same matter accusing him of misleading the region politically.

Others were MPs George Aladwa, Tim Wanyonyi , Eseli Simiyu and Ayub Savula.

The leaders also accused Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula of secretly campaigning for Ruto in the region
