Senator Malala Endorses ODM’s Prof Kutima for Kakamega governor as he dumps Anc’s Ayub Savula

Race for Kakamega governorship has taken a new twist after Kakamega senator and ANC’s hopeful for the seat Cleophas Malala publicly dismissed his Anc’s counterpart Ayub Savula.
In a thin veiled attack that has since gone viral, the vocal Kakamega senator dressed down Savula calling him a lazy leader who is fond of alcohol and unfit for the top county job.

“Tuambiane ukweli, Prof Kutima is a good man, he has served as Oparanya’s deputy for 10 years. He has experince to take our county forward. Lakini hatuwezi toka kwa Oparanya twende kwa Savula. Savula is a good man, he has served 10 years as MP but hapo kwa governor tusidanganyane. Savula anakuja kwa mkutano jioni na tukipima temperature yake iko juu saana. Ananuka ile kinywaji ya Tusker na hata akiongea ni Tusker ndio inaongea tu.” Malala said.
The Kakamega senator went further and warned the people of Kakamega not to fall for Savula’s lies.
‘Savula awache kutudanganya ya kwamba he can construct a company within 100 days. Mimi nataka nimwambie awache kudanganya. Wewe Savula utakuwa umefanya feasibility study saa ngapi? Budget imepitishwa saa ngapi? Wacha kudanganya raia kabisa” added Malala.
The Kakamega gubernatorial seat has attracted several candidates with UDA banking on former senator Dr Khalwale while ODM has Oparanya’s deputy Prof Kutima and Fernandez Barasa. ANC has former MP Dr Amukoa Anangwe, Ayub Savula and Sen Malala.
