Hon. DR. LAWRENCE SIMBAUNI NDOMBI is a native of Bunyala Central Ward in Mukhweso, Navakholo Sub- County, Kakamega County.
He is a self-made leader. Those who have worked with him say Hon. Lawrance is calm, patient and a man of few words but when it comes to work, he is pragmatic, goal oriented , action packed individual.
He believes in education as a right and the light that shows us the pathway to life , that’s why he embraced it and dedicated himself to a rigorous schooling process. He attended Alliance High School, a school that prepared him as a student of high quality mind and imparted in him skills of self-reliance as a future leader in society.
His academic prowess includes but not limited to Doctorate in Business Administration, Strategy & Leadership, MBA & Bcom, post Graduate Diploma in Human resource management. He attained these distinctions here in Kenya and Overseas.
He has vast interests in various business ventures. His vast knowledge and experience in business has seen him hold highly regarded positions in companies like Gillette Company, Africa Development Bank – ADB, Unilever, Business Partner Consulting, Amref, Connecticut childrens’ Centre in the USA, Aga Khan University Hospital, Ever Care Group of Hospitals and Crown Motors Group.
Dr. Lawrence also had interests in Activism whereby as a union leader, Hon. Dr Lawrence ensured activation of wider democratic spaces and provisions of better services in these organisations and that made him desirable and acceptable amongst peers and elders.
With a rich background in private sector Hon. Lawrence has now trained his eyes on Kakamega Senatorial race come 2022. If elected Hon. Lawrence promises to maintain a strong practice of oversight that will ensure resources allocated by National Government to Kakamega County are strictly utilized as per the officially set out vote-heads without anomaly.
From his profile it can be concluded that Hon. Dr. Simbauni has the capacity to champion for the interests of people of Kakamega county, which will include active public participation in identifying, prioritizing and implementing inclusive County development programmes and projects.
