Hon Beatrice Kadeveresia Elachi or simply Mama Dago could easily become the next Dagoretti North MP.

A career human rights crusader, a governance expert and a former first woman speaker of the Nairobi county assembly’s popularity is growing day after day.

Elachi understands what it means growing up and or raising a family in an informal settlement like Kawangware.

“I understand the challenges my people go through. I have lived and worked in these formal set up before. I also happen to have first hand engagement with the Dagoretti North people because I stay here with them I dont need an introduction or a guide whenever I hit the ground.” Elachi said.

Besides education which is so dear to her heart, Elachi cites insecurity, high rate of unemployement and drug abuse as the cancer that is eating away the Dagoretti North community, she points out administrative issues that lock out Dagoretti North residents from fully tapping into oppprtunities and privileges by the national government.

“As area MP, I will fight hard to ensure Dagoretti North gets its own administrative center. Our people are forced to either go to Dagoretti South or Westlands which has disfranchised most people. I promise that I will ensure we get our own center so that whenever slots are allocated, we dont have to fight with Dagoretti South or westlands” added Elachi.
