Tough race ahead in Makadara, will incumbent Aladwa survive?

Makadara Member of Parliament (MP) was stoned and chased away by Viwandani ward residents over broken promises.

Aladwa who was accompanied by the Senate minority deputy whip Beatrice Kwamboka had to run for his dear life after angry residents chased him away for cheating them.

Aladwa is accused of having issued a bouncing cheque meant to benefit a local Viwandani ward primary school in 2018.

The former Mayor was further accused of failing to honour his pledge of paying prize money amounting to Ksh400,000 to the winners of a tournament he had purportedly sponsored in 2018 for viwandani football teams.

The winner’s were supposed to pocket Ksh200,000, the second placed team to walk away with Ksh100,000
“The hostilities were aimed at Aladwa and not Kwamboka as we don’t have any problem with the Senator, She only happened to be at the right place at the wrong time,” said a resident.

The promises were made in 2018 when Aladwa began serving his term as Makadara MP only to be seen back in the area in 2022 when on his final days at the helm as the general elections slated for August 9th beckon.
