Tragedy in Kangemi as a flyover under construction collapses burying workers alive.

There was a moment of scare and pandemoniam in Kangemi area of Westlands constituency as a road under construction caved in injuring several site worker.

Part of the construction workers were going about their normal duties when the accident occured. No immediate cause of the accident has been posted so far.

Speaking at the scene, Nairobi county MCA Hon Caroline Mayunzu said
“As a leader in this city , I wish to convey my Quick recovery message to our brothers who have been affected in one way or another, I wish to also thank our medics for their swift reaction as we could all see ambulances at the scene in the shortest time possible. We shall ensure all the workers who have been injured on duty get proper medical attention and are compensated”

The construction work is being undertaken by a Chinese firm.

”I thank God for escaping unhurt, I was just planning to wide up when I heard a loud bang and alas!my colleagues were nowhere” a site worker told www.goodmorningkenya.com news
