For Mudavadi to become president, his backyard has to decide to support him or oppose him.

It goes without saying, for the hon. Musalia Mudavadi to become president he must first surmount many political hurdles within and without his backyard. Currently, he is the front runner, best-suited material to replace the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta. Mudavadi beats hon. Raila Kalonzo and Hon William Ruto in the race of who is best suited to occupy the house on the hill.

If you take a critical look at the state of our nation today, William Ruto, Raila Odinga, and Kalonzo Musyoka have no acumen to resuscitate an economy that is bedridden today. They are great leaders in different capacities but on how to run the republic these leaders fall short in many aspects including economic management. For them to cover for their weaknesses, they have rallied their communities around them disguising their weakness AS STRENGTH.

Recently, Kenyans have seen their economy sink to the low, it is like the days of former President Moi’s regime. Uhuru with his partner in government has sunk Kenya’s Economy to the lowest than how they found it. Realizing things are thick in the forest, the deputy president chose to run a mock against a government he helped create.

He has no answers as to why the economy is in shreds. Raila Odinga being mischievous and an opportunist as he has always been, he has capitalized on the loneliness Ruto has given to his boss, Uhuru Kenyatta. Raila coming on board has not helped Uhuru in running and correcting the voluminous mistakes that were committed by the inglorious pair of Uhuru and Ruto.

He has watched on without subtle emotions whatsoever as the plight of the economy dwindles day and night while the race to 2022 hots up. In the midst of this callous confusion both within and without the government, Kenyans have been left wondering in high and low tones as to whose shoulders will they place the burden of this nation on. BBI is pledging the expansion of the already bloated government. It is not working to heal the battered and trodden economy that many Kenyas wish something drastic was done about it.

As usual, politics has taken center stage and all focus is on which politician is entertaining the masses much. Which politician is talking too loud, whose pitching is high, and whose mannerisms are too dramatic on the microphone. This is where the plot is lost, this is the moment Kenyans are duped into thinking and believing that the most dramatic politician is the right person for the top job.

A case in point is the formal debacle of the former governor of Nairobi now turned suspect or a villain of the state. He was a shrewd entertainer, he pulled all kinds of hoodlums from all corners of the city. He publicized his acts and antics, blending them with a cool heart of humanity but in a real sense, he was bribing his way into the top cream de la cream of the republic of Kenya. He almost succeeded in his quest to become a top-notch leader in the country. He was only one phone call from the president.

With all this drama, Kenyans are yet to realize that a leader who will save this nation should not be an outward dramatic confusionist character. With that in mind, one leader who comes to mind as a leader who has built a character that befits the house on the hill is non-other than Musalia Mudavadi. The ANC boss is a top-notch leader, cool calm, logical, and collected. He understands his diction well, he believes in liberty, equity, and freedom for all.

He is non-partisan on placing his tribe above the rest and he is a partial leader. From many quarters, Musalia Mudavadi comes around as a well-groomed leader, a leader who understands his lips, a leader who is in control of his mind, states, or physiology. A leader who can stir this country to greater heights, a leader if he assumes the presidency he will definitely bring calm and peace to government.

But for Musalia Mudavadi to become the president, his backyard has to decide to support him or oppose him. His backyard has to choose between being cheap and being expensive. Being useful or being useless. There can be no middle ground. There can be no mixed politics of hate and love. When it matters most, the Mudavadi backyard must rise or choose to fall.

Raila Odinga has no better qualities than Musalia Mudavadi. William Ruto has no professional qualities that can defeat Hon. Musalia Mudavadi. Kalonzo too has no qualities that can outmatch hon. Musalia Mudavadi. The Mudavadi backyard should interrogate their perceptions, their world views, and their position in the entire political matrix.

By failing to support Mudavadi and dividing their numerous votes into pockets of voting blocks, the Mudavdi moment will pass and by the time they will have this moment again it will be too many years from here. The likes of Mukhisa Kituyi should not prepare to add confusion to an already seemingly confused backyard.

Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi should be sober enough and join hands with Musalia Mudavadi together with Moses Wetangula and put the community on a bargaining table rather than coming from abroad to come and fan the divisional fire that the community is hellbent on running from. By Mudavadi getting the entire support from his backyard, it will be easy for him to sail through to the presidency. It will be easy for him to beat both Ruto and Raila any day any moment.
