Former US President Donald Trump gives travel ban to Tanzania’s government officials following election malpractices.

The united states of America has issued travel ban to some senior officials in the government of Tanzania following election results that was termed as flawed in every aspect of organization.

According to reports that emerged from U.S. Department of State it was revealed the governor of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest commercial city, was among the names that were banned, he was accused of gross violation of human rights.

Also Mr. Paul Makonda, the regional commissioner of Dar Es Salaam and immediate members of his family, including his wife, “will not step a foot in the U.S.” This is a statement made by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

He further said, “The Department of State is publicly, designating Paul Christian Makonda … due to his involvement in gross violation of human rights, which include flagrant denial of the rights to life, liberty, or the security of persons,” the statement said.

Mr. Makonda was also implicated in the oppression of the political opposition, a crackdown on freedoms of expression and association, and targeting of marginalized individuals, the statement added.
