Ruto is to Kenyans what Trump was to the USA!: Nyeri town MP now claims.

In a lengthy write up released to the media by Hon Wambugu Mp Nyeri town, the lawmaker has likened Deputy president William Ruto and his quest for 2022 to that of the outgoing USA president Donald Trump.

Trump lost the USA presidency to Joe Biden but the last days of Trump have been marred with controversy and violence meted especially on democrats whom he accuses of having stolen his victory and also giving what is due to Americans to non-Americans. Trump conjured a ”Make America Great Again Narrative which according to the MP has inspired Dp Ruto to come up with his Hustler narrative which incorporates ” wheelbarrownomics which has coded undertones of setting they have vs the have nots in what is clearly defined as Hustler vs Dynasty movement.

RUTO CAUSING NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT BY TELLING ‘HUSTLERS’ THAT SOLUTION TO THEIR PROBLEMS IS TO TAKE AWAY FROM ‘DYNASTIES’(He’s behaving like Trump who was willing to destroy America to be President!)———————————————————PRESS

STATEMENTJanuary 2021———————————————————I wish to fully associate myself with the sentiments of H.E in his address to the Gikuyu Community today. It captures the essence of the challenges that face our community and our political leadership as we head into the matters that will arise this year. The President provided wise counsel on various issues some of us have been speaking about especially in regard to the need for us to rally together around our nation, avoid premature politics, and do the work that is required now; today, rather than getting distracted with the next election’s competition.1. The ongoing narrative of classification politics of dynasties vs hustlers is extremely dangerous for our country. It is a recipe for chaos and anarchy in ways we have never experienced. It creates a foundation for antagonistic narratives that can easily swing from being against certain individuals viewed as dynasties, to certain families and clans, to certain communities – depending on the respective local political and economic dynamics. Specifically, the Hustler vs Dynasty politics will easily lead to attacks on properties of those in the society perceived as doing well, forgetting that the assets they possess are a result of hard labour and sacrifices. I am happy that even some of our clergy have seen through this dangerous debate and are urging their flock against it. It offers Kenya nothing good and as the President said, we must fight it by all means.2. The manner the dynasty/Hustler debate is being prosecuted creates a sad element of ‘us vs them’ that those selling it have for long pretended to fight in their opposition to many things and people, including the BBI. It is ironical that they can claim to oppose the BBI on the claim that it seeks to presents an ‘us vs them’ case when they are doing the same with the dangerous talk of Hustler vs Dynasty. We rebuke these divisive politics and as the President did, I urge our people to resist being blinded by a politician driven by a very personal and selfish desire to divide our region.3. I thank the President for coming out clearly to disassociate BBI with the 2022 politics. This is what I have always argued and that is why I have never personally supported anyone’s 2022 candidature so far. Like the President I wish to urge our people to look at the larger benefits of BBI in our region. Let us read it to understand it and we will see that BBI is good for Mt Kenya. BBI is good for Nyeri. BBI is good for us.4. It is good that the President has clarified that we are not yet in the campaign stage for BBI. We are still waiting for verification of supporting signatures by IEBC. What we can do is what I am doing; prepare the teams that will help when the campaign is announced. Those saying the document is not popular in Kenya should wait till we get at the stage of campaigning for it, they will be shocked and embarrassed with their statistics.5. Lastly, it is sad that Mt Kenya has now become the epicenter of the divisive 2022 politics when the elections are still far off. It is also sad that it is our own politicians who are being used to prosecute this conflict within the region, and between the region and other regions. It takes away from what the President is working to achieve as regards uniting the country and I urge all those who support the President, to shun those propagating such narratives. The reason the Hustler versus Dynasty narrative is such a mess is because
