Big boost for ANC, Ford Kenya, and Wiper as Jubilee pledges to support Nasa in the forthcoming elections.

Jubilee secretary general Hon Raphael Tuju has this afternoon announced that the Jubilee party will not be fielding its candidates in Matungu, Kabuchai, and Machakos. The by-elections occurred following the demise of the respective legislators. Mr. Tuju was speaking today at the jubilee party headquarters in Pangani.

‘The party(Jubilee) has decided not to field a candidate in the three by-elections given the bigger picture of bringing this country together through BBI by ceding ground to the NASA coalition which held the seats prior to the demise of the lawmakers, this is essential in ensuring unnecessary conflict does not arise as a result of the competitions’ Tuju said.

Both ANC, Ford Kenya, and Wiper had already agreed not to field candidates against each other in the three by-elections which their partner parties held. However Odm a Nasa affiliate has declared its intent in wrestling Matungu from ANC.

However, Ruto allies have already lined up candidates in these by-elections and it is believed that the Dp will personally bankroll the candidates which are totally against the party’s wish.

The DP’s allies recently launched the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), formerly Party of Development and Reform (PDR).

UDA has  named Evans Kakai (Kabuchai), Alex Lanya (Matungu) and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru (Nairobi) as its candidate for the scheduled by-elections.

Kabuchai and Matungu by-elections will be held on March 4, 2
